About Us

Rainbow's End opened in Dunedin in 1982 as a craft consignment shop run by sisters Mariellen Facsina and Eileen Roski. Shortly after the store opened, Mariellen took a quilting class and decided to add a number of new products to the shop's inventory. The new items became popular with customers, and prompted Eileen, Mariellen, and Mariellen's daughter Michelle to add 500 bolts of fabric and quilting classes to the items offered in the shop. Over the next few years, more and more fabrics were added and eventually filled every space in the store (including the attic).
After nearly 10 years in our original location, we knew that we had outgrown our little shop and began looking for a new property that would allow us to offer more products and provide a larger class space for our customers. In 1992, we moved just a few blocks away from the original shop to our current location in Dunedin, Florida.

Today, you will find over 20,000 bolts of high-quality, 100% cotton fabric in our shop, more than 700 books, numerous patterns and kits, and a wide selection of notions, trim, ribbon, and stencils. We carry Electronic Quilt, Block Base, Sew Precise, and many other computer software programs. In our shop, we sell and service Pfaff and Elna sewing machines, sergers, and accessories, as well as the AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter. Our classes are taught by local, national, and international teachers, and provide guidance for all levels of experience (including classes for children).
In 2010, we opened our ecommerce site to compliment our family-owned and operated store and provide our customers with additional access to our products and services.
